Altered vase
For this piece I used a porcelaneous clay body. This made it easier to alter while still wet. The clay body is also responsible for the flashing on the surface.
The flashing that occurred on this pot reveals the path of the flame within the kiln. The more grey areas is where the ash settled and the more orangish white areas are where the flame touched the least.
